Paul O’Callaghan
OUR BLUE WORLD
Paul O’Callagan CEO and Founder of BlueTech Research, Executive Producer of the critically acclaimed documentary Brave Blue World and co-produced Our Blue World. Paul holds a PhD in Water Innovation from Wageningen University and has recently published a book unveiling the future of water innovation. Paul will guide us through the challenges of ‘Our Blue World’.

Four carefully selected start-ups will share their concept with the audience and pitch it to a panel of experts: Alexander Crowell,- Partner at Pure Terra Ventures, Paul O’Callaghan, CEO and Founder at BlueTech Research, David Katz, Founder and CEO at the Plastic Bank, and one expert to be confirmed.

Ilvy Njiokiktjien
DUTCH PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE NATION
Ilvy Njiokiktjien is a storyteller travelling the world with her camera. With her recent project called Climate Safe Havens; The Alternative Drift. she visited and portrayed places in the world, owing to their strategic locations proving to be unexpected havens in the face of the relentless onslaught of climate change.

Maaike Schoon is journalist and presenter on National TV. She was nominated for the Sonja Barend Award for her intriguing interview with the Russian Ambassador Aleksander Sjoelgin. Maaike wil host you through the evening and lead the panel discussion ‘Countdown to 30’.

Countdown to 30
In 5 years time we will reach the point where goals for a sustainable future are supposed to be reached. Which goals will be achieved reach and which seem out of reach. What is necessary to meet the requirements? What should be prioritised?
Our Prix Voltaire International Laureates Peter Bakker, Jennifer Holmgren, David Katz and Paul Polman count the remaining time and will present their views in a short keynote and discuss the status of the SDG’s in a panel discussion.

Dutch Minister of State and former Nato Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer will grant the Prix Voltaire International to the 5th Laureate. The Laureate will end the official programme by addressing the audience in a ‘thank you speech including a pleading message of sustainable content’.
